Works great with Samsung S22 Ultra
Perfect in a moving vehicle.
Something is wrong in some versions of Samsung Android 11 (specifically S10+) ... I can no longer get accents reliably in some app's (esp'y txt msg), but can in others. Not sure if it's a compatibility issue with this app, or a mistake by Samsung. Also, it would be nice to be able to link emoji's into the app. This input method is outstanding, and I hope no Android updates preclude it, as I find it massively more user friendly than the keyboards.
I used it in my first Palm and used to work very well in Android... however, it stopped rendering accents in the Google Pixel 4a(5g). Any clues? it is probably a simple bug.
The long press on the text field no longer brings up the input method menu. You can still get it from the Android keyboard and Swype. There needs to be an update to bring this feature to graffiti, perhaps a long press or a dedicated stoke. Edit ; That old problem has gone away. Possibly with an android update. Now it will occasionally start producing nonsense text or none, usuauly with passwords. This problem can only be rid of by switehing to another keyboard and back..
Elegant but superseded by WORD-with-one-stroke successors. I now use Swype or Stylus Beta, which allows you to visit the letters in a word with one continuous stroke of your finger. You don't even have to touch each character provided your finger is in the general vicinity of the letters. However, this can lead to multiple recognitions, e.g. meant 'finger' but also get offered 'singer', 'ginger', 'ringer', etc. So you have to keep your eyes on the keyboard.
It's good for what it's worth. The Graffiti function totally works. The application is a bit old, and the reference menu doesn't show up properly, but it does pretty much all of what it claims. I would suggest an update.
Just installed on the Galaxy Z flip 3 and it works exactly as I used it on each of my now-ancient Palm devices. Terrific! However, I must admit that the warning worried me – it says that the permissions will allow Graffiti to collect anything I write, including passwords, etc. That sounds ominous. Is it safe?
I've just purchased a tiny chinese 3" cell phone. Graffiti Pro solves the input problem beautifully as ever. Thierry Escande once wrote an even better version for Palm that enabled the whole screen as writing pad. That was the best input method. Access could do it, too.
I would pay for a new update as well.
